First Snow!
My sister, Holly, visited me from December 1st - 5th. She was here for our first snow! It was so neat going to bed as the flakes just started to fall, and we woke up to a complete white blanket over everything. It snowed about 4 inches - Mr. W and I had our first experience shoveling the snow. After we shoveled, he came right in and ordered a snowblower online and went and picked it up. I love my husband!!!
Holly had fun making a snow angel and there was a very small snowball fight!
It was Bella's first snow also. She was a little unsure at first, but she loved it! I love it when she tries to run in it and then trips and falls. Her face is covered with snow and she pretends like nobody saw her.
I am looking forward to the lazy days of winter!

Hello Fall!!!
Yes - this is a real photo! Mr. W and I took Bella on a walk last night through the neighborhood. I insisted on bringing along my camera because the colors are just AMAZING!!! So this is what it's like to have seasons! The air is crisp, the leaves crunch beneath my feet, and every tree has it's own fun color palette. Now it's just time to do some clothes shopping for the cooler weather!

Sweet Home Chicago!
Welcome to our blog!
I wanted to start this blog for a couple of reasons:
1) It's an easy way for our friends and family to keep in touch with us and see what's going on in our lives.
2) Mr. W and I were both born and raised in California, and there are bound to be some changes in Chicago..what better way to chronicle our experiences than in a blog?
3) In the midst of winter on a cold and snowy day when I don't want to go outside, I will need a hobby. Perhaps blogging will be my new hobby?
So a month ago I moved from sunny, Orange County, California to Aurora, Illinois. Okay, so Aurora isn't quite the official "Windy City" - but it still gets pretty windy here!!! Aurora is about 30 minutes west of Chicago and is best known for being the setting of the 90's classic "Wayne's World."
Mr. W has been living here since before our wedding in May. After living apart for many months, we have finally been able to live like a normal married couple!
I have been adapting well (in my opinion) - started my new job, setting up house, and have been maneuvering around town (thank goodness for GPS!) However, I have noticed many differences between CA and IL. I won't go on to laundry list them out here, instead I will include them for future posts.
